What is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100?
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is one of the most internationally recognised testing and certification systems for textile products.
Certified materials undergo different controls aimed at checking for the possible presence of substances that may be harmful to health. The requirements established by OEKO-TEX® take into account numerous components, as well as regulated substances or substances considered relevant to the safety of textile products.
At Xaluca, we are committed to using materials and components that meet strict quality standards, from fabrics and fibres to the different elements used in the manufacture of our sleep products.
Why is it important for you?
Because a mattress remains in contact with our body for many hours. Choosing products whose materials have undergone specific controls provides greater peace of mind when resting.
For us, quality is not only about creating a comfortable mattress. It also means knowing the materials we work with, controlling our processes and selecting components that are suitable for everyday use.
Is it enough for just one part of the product to be certified?
Not necessarily.
The fact that a specific fabric or component has a certification does not automatically mean that all the materials used in the product are also certified.
For this reason, at Xaluca we pay close attention to the different components used in our products, including fabrics, foams, fibres, threads, zips and other materials that form part of the final product.
Our aim is to maintain a high level of control from the selection of raw materials through to the manufacture of the mattress.
AIJU: safety and confidence, especially for the little ones
When it comes to products designed for children’s sleep, safety becomes even more important.
AIJU, the Technological Institute for Children’s Products and Leisure, is an organisation specialised in the assessment and testing of products intended, among other areas, for children.
Products subjected to its tests and controls are evaluated in accordance with the procedures and requirements applicable in each case, allowing aspects related to their safety, materials, physical characteristics and suitability for the intended use to be assessed.
For Xaluca, having this type of verification helps reinforce our commitment to developing sleep products designed to support families with greater guarantees of quality and safety.
